This clip is the finale of the movie DRUMLINE, a film about African American college bands. It is a resonably good film. Check out the D.C.I. (Drum Corp International) competitions when they come back around on ESPN.

I've been thinking I might buy a field drum.

I wonder if Lee has any recommendations. Are Yamaha's SFZ drums any good? I've seen them a number of times for sale used.

sorry...i missed this thread.

Yamaha SFZ drums are great. The MTS ones are even better (Same drum with an extra set of snares under the TOP head as well.)

"Drumline" movie is based on a whole different kind of marching band thing. It is nowhere NEAR the level of difficulty, sophistication, and musicianship as drumcorp.

But it is indeed entertaining, just on a different level.

That's cool. That's a military drum and fife band. The drum playing style is VERY similar to pipe band. Cool Dude

I believe that is a clip from drumline very sweet how they were perfectly synced
