| Don't really care what brand a head is as long as it sounds right on the drum.
I currently use clear emperors for the batter heads on my toms, with clear ambasadors on the bottoms. On my snare I'm currently using a coated emperor, although I was thinking about trying something different next time, possibly the evans genera dry. I went for the remo because the snare came supplied with a custom printed remo (I have the tribal ltd edition black panther snare)which I wanted to keep in a reasonable condition in case I ever want to sell the drum.
On my bass i have an Evans EQ4, although i do fancy trying an Emad, don't like running much, if any, damping inside the drum, at the moment all i have in there is a small beer towel, really like that blown out open sound. | | Message posted 1822 days ago | IP Logged |
