went around searching for vintage hats and found some real cheap new beats...

Not a bad price, but not anything to leap at either. Maybe the market has bumped in recent months, but IIRC 14" New Beats tend to run a bit closer to the $100 mark.

Great cymbals, tho - I've had mine since 1978, and they continue to be my "go-to" set of hi-hats.

You can probably find a better looking set of New Beats for that kind of money.

Yep. Although I have NEW New Beats, they're about $230 a pair new.

My dad has old ones, and they're almost identical.

Still, they're a bit overpriced.
