I threatened to leave once and they were like at my feet.

There arent any better drummers in my class and the other ones are already in bands.

The other bands arent any good at all but i'm kinda jealous at their determination.
i new it was time to leave my old band when they turned down the 'ashton court' festival because the singer was going on holiday the next day and didnt want to be to tired.
Remember - hitting is allowed if provoked...turning down a festival. Mind you, a friend of mine turned down an audition (that he was a cert for, that I set him up) for a UK that htat will be huge (already booked for the main stage at all the major festivals) because there was a good local gig coming up!!! I ask you!

And you need to ask - ar the solos really needed if they disrupt the song that much

Plus - if you have the power use it now! Good drummers are hard to find...but mediocer guitarists arn't

Well...push and prod them until they do the gig...what is the point of being in a band if you don't gig?

If you don't have the gigs, then the band will stagnate - all that fun going to nothing!

I have been in bands where that has happend - loads of practices, never gigging - and in the end you get fed up and naff off!

Play some gigs - it will keep it interesting, give you something to work for, and make you aquire new material so that the next gig has some fresh stuff for hte fans

trust me - gigs (any gigs) are great!!
