joy division are one of my favourite british bands. just curious how well known or popular they are in other parts of the world? dont know if they gained universal appeal really because they were very short lived and are somewhat of an aquired taste. to anyone who hasnt heard them but is interested then i would recommend songs like new dawn fades, love will tear us apart, isolation, passover, glass. all their songs are brilliant imo. not to mention the drumming is always very creative. anyway please post your thoughtsPleased

I remember them. They got airplay at the time on MTV. None of the radio stations I knew of ever really picked up on them.

I liked some of their stuff.

Sometimes their vocals didn't work for me though. It depended on the song.

Thanks for calling them out Dean as I hadn't thought of them in years.
