It seems very different in the US to here... In Australian schools all departments are underfunded.. haha Snoopy <-- Thats my drums!

OK, I want now off the handle reply...no shouting...no FBI investigations. Isn't it strange how the commun ists really managed to get the music thing sorted? Ok, there are issues - but we should look at their model for promoting tallent. Gareth I'm from the Old South Wales. Original and the best.

Dunno - the strangly tallented Russian violinists The fact they used to have really intensive schools, all the brain washing etc. I am sure we can do better than we do Gareth I'm from the Old South Wales. Original and the best.

from birth by force really. They had no choice. But I don't see the point in this anyway.....Russia did NOT produce the world's greatest violinists. They had their share of great ones like many other countries did as well. Russia pressured it's performing artists and athletes to be the best and/or win medals or else be punished. Lee
