Ok, I have done some phoning around...I am still waiting for my local shop to get back to me, and I know they don't have Aquarians in stock - so if they are cheap I will be waiting.

I had them quote me for all my toms and my snare...that is G2s, G1s and HD Dry for Evans and Responce II, Classic Clear and High Energy for Aquarians.

So,
Electro-music (Doncaster)
Aquarian - £94.95 for toms, £13 for snare head.
Evans - £101.95 for toms, £11 for snare head.
Delivery £3 Royal mail, or £7 next day courier.

Percussion House (Cardiff)
Aquarian - £87 for toms, £12.49 for snare head.
Evans - £111 for toms, forgot to ask about snare.
Delivery - £5.75 first class parcel, although it is only 45 min away...probably drive there and get them!

You will notice that I forgot the resonant snare head in all these - but I am assuming that will follow a similar price difference.

If Rowlands get back to me, I will post those prices...and as they are my local I may try and play them off (but I can get that for £2 in Cardiff ).

Done a bit of online shopping...

Wembley Drum Centre
Aquarian - £116.06 for toms, £15.50 for snare head.
Evans - £118.52 for toms, £13.03 for snare head.
Delivery - I can't be bothered to even look!

Apparently these are with a 20% online discount

Plus, they were almost £30 over Percussion House, so that is an extra bass head ...Tim is a nice bloke too. You shold give him a ring next time you are reskinning - his prices seem very good!

I am still waiting for Swansea to phone back

I may have a laugh in a bit and phone the music shop in Llanelli - but he will probably tell me that I wont order enough to make it economnical!

LOL - you live in Llanelli then

Percussion House will phone order...the do have a website, but you can't buy online (yet!).

The recon about £5 odd postage! Give them a ring, and see how they compete on your normal order!

Swansea wanted £150 for Evans heads

Yeah...but the customs officials will be interested! They are big and flat - so they will bother me!

What price would you pay for that set-up (10", 12", 13", 16", 18") Responce II and Classic clears?

So far, £87 is the best I can find (£8.70 per head is VERY good for the UK). That is about $160!

Ok, so I have been doing some digging on MusiciansFriend.com, and their Aquarian heads are actually less $$$ than the average £££...so you guys pay less than half what we pay - in real terms
