Grr playing today and my lug on my small tom just fell of, making the skin go limp.  I guess now its dead.  Only 2 toms left

Maybe this could be my excuse to buy a new kit

Pretty tight, but not mega tight.  The kits around 7 years old, id blame it on the cheapness and age of the hardware parts

Joey may be right.  You may have had your heads on too tightly.  If you've turned your drum key more than 2 times (2 360 degree turns) to get to the tension you're at now, then they're too tight.

Ohhhh damn, but any less tight they really sound bad....

Hmm ok im seeing your point now, on my floor tom the rim is actualy out of shape.  Oopsie!  ill have a little experiemnt tommorow

did you tune your toms like Timbales? I really try to get the deepest darkest sound I can get outta my toms without makink them sounding "flappy".
