It really is amazing that people want so and so's cymbals and/or drums because of the recorded or live sound. Wake up everyone.... The sound engineer get's those sounds with EQ, Gain, Effects and Mic placement .. Choose what cymbals sound best too you and learn to tune your drums.... Then the sound engineer can do what they do to get the sound for the gig. I'll tell you right now a little known fact (it's not advertised or talked about much) but Steve Smith uses a 60's Ludwig Acrolyte snare on ALL of his recordings not Sonar.
It's like guitar players seeing stacks of Marshall's and wanting them all... When in reallity (I've set many of these up for big acts in the last 2 years) one is active, one is a spare and the others are empty boxes with pretty lights on them....
Stop following the HYPE..... Be your own EARS....
