so i just finished tarting up my new 14x3 FF and i thought you might like to see the results.

i put new skins top and bot, new snares and a shit load of polishing

sounding good at the moment but needs to go up a notch tunning wise......impossible at the moment because the previous owner replaced 3 of the rods with longer rods. because of the FF design they are now butting up against the reso rods inside the lug box stopping me cranking it.
a trip into town should sort this.

I noticed that not all of your tuning rods have nylon washers. try that first, my FF has washers on all the rods.

(I have to admit, however, that I like the patinated look on the shell also, partly because you never see a FF with that look.) Err...

What annoys me is how people let there drums get in such a state in the first play. I wipe down my snares, kit and cymabls every week.

im going to keep an eye out for some different FF shells now i have the rig, its a pretty clever design when you get up close to it...well engineered
