hi all,New member,John,Nickname for last 30 yrs is ''Dude'' ......
30+yrs playing gigs with anyone&everyone
played eveything from Jazz,Blues,Soul,R&R,,DooWop,funk,Country,Western Swing ...etc....(as ya do)

currently i own a Pearl ELX kit with Black hardware&sunburst finish? which i bought on eBay for $600..... (a steal!!!)
a Yamaha 6000 black kit(eBay)...$350....
A early 60's Maxwin kit ($200)eBay,loll,,currently restoring this
& a old 28'' Ludwig Kick drum which i use ,it has 1936 stamped on the inside so im guessing thats its year?,,,still has the Orig' pigskin heads...its bout 16'' deep&the rods that run right across&im guessing used to have the curved rack etc which everything fitted on,,
i also play washboard & sing front or Harmonies
played&sang in a 5piece DooWop group for years&a 9piece Soul band too,
currently playing with a Chicago type blues outfit(lotsa double hand shuffles)
also with a country/Western Swing outfit,
a Origional Indie band,
¤tly rehearsing up a ''Louie Jordan'' band together at present(my personal Hero)

so,,alls buisy in Melbourne Australia!,,
ugh.....my aching back!.........loll

What's up dude!
We've got a kid at my school that prefers to be called dude over every other name/nickname....
Anyway I'm Matt the happy cow...
I'm the youngest one here at 15 and I've only been playing for 1.5 yrs so I've got some real learning to do....

Anyway I think your really gonna like it here you seem to be a good 'ole gear whore Devilish

there's a lot of theme here..... Mike being the biggest Cool Dude

Oh and I have a SP 5 piece wine red kit that goes for 400, but I've got a few nice cymbals (19" aaxspolsion and 14"aax solid [both crashes]) that I really like so I'm getting there hoping to upgrade my kit again on mah birthday.....

Anyway it's great to have you here!!!!!!
Oh and we have another guy from Australia!!!

G'day John how they hangin'? About time we had some more Aussies on here. Wherabouts in Melbourne are you? I get down there once or twice a year. I live on Jervis Bay about 2 1/2 hours south of Sydney but I'm originally from Sydney. I like Melbourne better than Sydney, except that piss-weak brown creek that runs through the middle Luke I come from a land downunder
