I have never claimed dole - as I haven't officially graduated, and Sadie earns £6000 a year I don't qualify

i was on the dole for 6 months, soul destroying. is it even called the dole anymore? isnt it something PC like 'job seekers allowance'

That is the one...me and Sadie have both tried to claim at different times.

She couldn't get it, because I was getting too much money in my student loan, and I couldn't get it because she is working in a shop!

To be honest, I think the system is a pile of crap...we could make rent - and I had to borrow the money from relatives, but we were earning too much to qualify

My interview went well today though - so I should be gainfully employed as a graduate engineer soon (I hope ).
