My parents each lost their parents at a very young age, so I never knew my grandparents. My parents both died when I was very young as well. That's the principle reason I didn't want to have children. I needed to break the cycle. Particularly since I was in my thirties when I married. It didn't seem fair to my offspring to grow up without a dad and the odds in my family are in that favor.

Sorry to throw something so negative out there.

On the other hand, I know a 35 year old who's daughter just had a child and the granny could be on a hot granny website...

Who wants their parents to out live them?...we are the same age and I have a young child that is the world to me..IMO you are the perfect age to give yourself to a "mini me"..I thought I could live for myself forever...but like a friend of mine said,"You don't know what love is til you see it in your babys eyes"...(not michael jackson love either!..LEE)DevilishArgh!Argh!Argh!

no MJ jokes here Wink

I agree, Pat. The best dads are the older ones. Most guys don't really fully mentally mature until their late 30's or 40's. My little baby girl is the light of my life now. In the words of Forrest Gump, "I'm not a smart man, but I know what love is." Pleased

I will be 60 when my daughter graduates high school. But i will be there feeling like i was 40 (or younger) again, i guarantee it.

Warning: 1st birthday party pictures coming this weekend! Pleased

My parents both died in their early fifties. Their parent were in their 40s. I have reason to beleive it was the right choice.

My parents are both 41 (I'm 15). I have a younger brother (14 in a few days), so my parents were really young when they had children.

I've never had to face a death of an extremely close relative. Both my grans are still alive and one of my grandads are alive. My mums dad died when she was 16 Upset and I never got to meet him.

Also, talking about young parents, a girl in my year is about 4 months pregnant now. She's still 14 and won't be 15 until January Argh!

Hey Lee, how are you? I'm from Elizabethtown. Originally from Madison, Wisconsin, but liked the weather here. Help me out and tell me how I can post pics. Thanks, Bob.

If its just something from google, go right into "View Full Size Image" and copy and paste the URL (it should have .jpg at the end!Pleased

Elizabethtown, nice. We're only about 90 minutes away. I have a good friend in E-town that teaches percussion.
