Ok, I got a 14" crash and two 14" hats.  I want to make them sound really dfunky, coz they dont compare to my other cymbals at all.

As far as creativity goes, ive managed to turn my hi hats upside down, which produces pretty much the same noise as before.

So, what should i do, dent patterns in it?  Bend them?

Send them to me. I practice in a garage, and the acoustics are way different than where you practice, so they'll definitely sound different.

I would stack all three together; possibly with a felt in between each for more volume and sustain.

drill holes in the bottom hat then mount rivets in it that is my next project.

btw that broken 16" paper thin is now a 10" maybe 11" splash it sounds very differrent.  However that is the last cymbal that we are doing on a lathe. the broken edge flew around the shop and almost took off a limb.

maybe I could stick some finger bells all over them, that would sound cool!

Did you sey that you had tried flipping them inside out? i did that with an old flmsy pair of has and they sound really cool. this only really works with thin cymbals and could result in cracking but hey! you'd definatley get a 'diffrent' and 'individual' sound
