It's released by Experience Hendrix, LLC. I think that's an organization run by the Hendrix family. I read somewhere that this will not be the last new release. I saw the review for this release in the new Drum magazine, page 91. It's really good!

The tapes must have been rolling every time Hendrix jammed in the studio or played a club. The amount of material released over the years is astonishing.
I had a picture-disc LP that had Jim Morrison and Hendrix together.
