If this band was a person, it would be president. If this band was visual art, it would be the main attraction at Louvre. If this band was a book, it would be holier than the bible.

mrhappycow,
your mention of Lars made me play Enter Sandman, one of my favorite tunes ever!!

I especially like the bass drum SPLATT on that track.

I usually like a wide open "Bonhamesque" kind of kick sound, but that tone on Sandman just SLAYS me!!

My favorite artist right now is Luther Allison (RIP). Searing guitar, gutsy, amazing blues voice. Rob Stupka drummed on Live in Chicago which is my favorite Allison CD. He was great! - Al

(Metallica related story ) Kirk Hammett's wife got a DUI in a town in my jurisdiction. She went to trial in my courtroom..her defense was basically "I couldn't walk in high pumps" (that she was wearing)...She was very attractive and sweet and would have beat the charge but she tested over the limit. Giving a test is a double edged sword...sure she would loose her license for a while but the charges would have been dismissed.
