My name is Mike and I'm one of the regulars on this forum.
I sometimes see new people register as members, yet never post. While this is certainly okay, we love to hear from new members and get to know you.
A little about us. There are a large number of us who pop in every day to see what's going on. The group consists of members from mid-teens to sixties. Experience levels are wide ranging and we hail from all over the globe.
Start a new thread and tell us about yourself.
I thought this thead could be use for each of us regulars to re-introduce ourselves.

I currently play weekends in a classic rock band and have been playing professionally for alomst 40 years. I am a Weekend Warrior www.theauthorities.net \m/ -_- \m/
I am Mike, I live in Chevy Chase Maryland USA, just outside of Washington DC.
I first picked up sticks about forty years ago, I got very serious about drums 34 years ago. (I'm fifty years old.)
I suffered two strokes last year, but have recovered pretty well.
I'm recently retired and getting ready to travel the US in a motorhome.
I crrently have six drumsets, 45 cymbals and 27 snare drums. I used to be a serious drummer who sort of collected drums. Now I a serious collector who sort of plays.
Many of us are happy to help and answer questions for newer drummers.

My name is Matt. I live in Philadelphia Pa. I'm only 15 and have been only playing for 1 and a half years. I'm the youngest one here so I may be seen as the immature one. My favorite bands include Metallica, Rise against, Trivium, A day to remember, Avenged sevenfold and bullet for my valentine. As you can see I like hard-ish music, and I also play that type of music.
This is a great place just about every question you ask will be answered correctly and respectfully unless of course you are a troll or (forgive my unpoliticalness) a retard and just want to post to get awards and stuff.
This is a great site and everyone are close friends; we are always accepting to new people so please join the discussion you'll have some good fun!!!!!Matt the happy cow.
If this band was a person, it would be president. If this band was visual art, it would be the main attraction at Louvre. If this band was a book, it would be holier than the bible. -METALLICA
My name is Billy. I live in the wilds of North Alabama. I've been playing for 40 years and my weapon of choice is Ludwig. I currently play worship music and fill in for a band that plays bike rallys and prison gigs.I also play and collect acoustic guitars.Billy Member since Feb. 15 2008

Duncan McLennan, and I live in a lot of places. At the moment I'm just a little outside Toronto, Ontario.
I'm a classical percussion major at a university here, in my fourth year. I play principal percussion in the university's symphony, and also some occasional classical pick-up gigs.
However most of my work playing is in pop and rock. I also work as a sound technician, and occasional doing lighting design for touring and theatre rock shows, corporate shows, casino shows, etc.
I own two drum kits, both Gretsch. One 10/12/16/22 with medium depth toms, and one 12/14/18 standard bop kit configuration. Only have a few snare drums and one bag worth of cymbals.
I am 21, pennyless, but love school, have an awesome new girlfriend, good friends, etc. and could not be happier.
Does that about sum it up Mike!? Member since at least October 2005!
I'm Al in Chatham, Illinois. I work with homelessness and affordable housing programs. I'm the old fart of the group at 61. I'm just a hobbiest. I drummed several years when I was young and got back into it not quite three years ago. I curse myself for being away from drumming all those years. But I'm having a great time now! I have a Pearl Reference Series kit - 10, 12, 14, 16, 22. Crystal Rain finish. This is a really friendly bunch, and a real treasure trove of drumming knowledge.

Oh, and my favorite music is electric blues.Al in Illinois - Member since February 4, 2007.
I am Lee Sabel. I've been here almost since the beginning of the site. I'm 44 and counting, and have been playing drums since 1976 (33 years).
I have 2 acoustic kits and 1 electronic kit - all Yamaha. I play regularly in 3 different groups: a 17 piece big band, a 9 piece horn band, and a 4 piece rock/dance band. I play occasionally in a zydeco band, a polka band and various jazz trios. Variety is indeed the spice of life!
My name is Tom and I made the site, I haven't been posting for a while but I do check in every now and then at the moment.
I live in London, am 23 years old. Played drums for several years but recently had to throw away my old kit as it really was beyond repair, I would love to save and buy a new one at some point!Tom
im Richard and have been playing for 23 years. my current set up is a mixture of pearl, premier and dw with K's and paistes. i am a very bad example as a drummer, i never practice, dont know a flam from paradiddle, hate rehearsing and cant stand 'jamming' (i.e masturbation for guitarists) but.........i love playing live and have never been without a band so i guess there is hope for the none technical amoung us. apart form the drums i ride bikes and play football.blank
