and fantastic timing too

so, I was off to GC to pick up a DW 5000 remote hi hat stand. But we decided to stop for dinner first. So we went to the tailgate cafe

got inside, sat down, and we notice two of our (family) friends a few tables over (steve is a drummer). They dont notice us so we order them a shirley temple from an anonymous person (this would be funny if you knew them). They look around for a wihle, finally see us, and come on over.

Me and steve start to talk about drums (I bought my genistas from him, hes lending me my mapex snare and my ride) and i tell him im going to GC to buy a remote hi hat stand.

He then tells me hes got one hes not using, and that i can use it and try it out for a while to decided if i really want one.
This is great (except i dont get to go to guitar center ) So ill give him a call tomorrow.

I get a free trial!! (this will probably be for months, ive had some of his snares for months) Hopefully hell end up selling it to me. but well see. At least ill probably have it for a few months and when i get out of debt, ill decide what to do.

anyways. its just amazing luck that we decide to go out to eat and that Steves there.

Hes my favorite drummer by far. He lends me so many things and sold me my genistas . Great guy

Yeah, I was so amazed at the timing. now I might actually wait till i get out of debt to buy mine.

Hes a great guy. Back when i had my old set (with a sh*tty sh*tty sh*tty sh*tty snare), he came over and played around on it . The next day. he brought over a pearl sig snare. I was amazed. A few motnhs later he took that back and brought over a mapex birdseye maple (fantastic snare) for me to use

and now this remote system. I owe him my life
