First set I use Regal-tip COMBOS    Theyre very thin but have a great attack / POP on the snare.

Rest of the night I go to Regal-Tip ROCK.  Been using them for 28 years and they really last.

Oh ya, in my bag I have Vaters, Vic's (WACKERS) Zildjian, but never ProMarks.

Had bad experiences with then years ago!!!!!  The tips would just snap off and if you didn't catch it right away, I'd stick a jagged end right through a head!!

Oh ya, I remember for a while using Hands-Hickory "Hot Sticks" ...lots of diferent colors.  Wound up with paint chips all over the place!!

I used to love Zildjian 5Bs, but they always seemed to break in the same place, the heads just split up after about 3 months use, they were a good weight and a good shape but i stopped buying them because my local shops all switched to only stocking the "DIP" version, which gives me blisters :(

I bought a pair of vic firth 5Bs when i got my double bass pedals and a pair of 5As free with my arbiter flats lite kit :)

I also have a pair of carbosticks. They don't break but they are VERY heavy, if you are playing for any length of time they will tire you out much faster than ordinary sticks - good for muscle building lol
