There's a really fine line between bland and refined. And it's in different places for different people.

All opinions respected, there is no doubt they are amazing musicians. 'Alive in America', their only live album is what got me onto the band. There's some amazing playing on there.

Walter Becker's soloing in particular.

People say the same thing about Rush that they stopped listening after Grace Under Pressure...Their Loss!!.. They keep reinventing themselves or refining themselves to Duncan's point!

We are going to see them on September 16th at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh.

As many times as I've seen them, I've never seen a bad show. Not once.

Amazing musicians.

I agree with you there! Each one is phenominal and then together...they are just locked in and click! Have you seen Beyond the lighted stage yet? A must see! I just finished reading Neil's book, Roadshow...A must read for any drummer..what a great writer! Reading Traveling music now!

PS Enjoy the show!

I have several of his books, I love his writing as much as his playing. I rode motorcycles for 15 years, so I get a kick out of his riding stories.

He has a great blog that you should check out too.

You enjoy the show as well. Since you are seeing them two days ahead of me, you can give me a preview.
