I'm thinking that Dennis' avatar will be a set of white marine pearl Ludwigs soon.

Right now Dennis and Matt almost have the same avatar except that I'm standing behind the kit with Matt in his.

Hey guys thanks for the feedback. I'm looking for a fat sound I don't like a lot of ring.A nice slap with bottom end. Maybe I'm being silly but I'm not really a big Evans fan and I don't like to mix and match. What about CS bottom dot? Evans tom heads sound a little dead to me what do you guy's think? Thanks again

Hmm.

I'd stick with Remo and go with a coated Pinstripe. I use it on a couple of my snares to roll back the ring just a bit.

Several of us have been known to use a small piece of Moongel or a tone ring to get a similar effect.

Maybe try n emperor coated?

Have you play with the snares? They have a lot to do with the sound of a snare, you can choke it some by tightening them up.

I really like the Remo reverse power dot for metal snares. Leaves lots of high end but creates a good focused center.

We've given you lots of food for thought George.

I hope some of it is useful.
