 its not allowing me to upload/submit any pictures to "My Kit", i havn't tried any other categories other than that one.

Go to internet options >advanced and turn friendly HTTP errors off then tell me the error

If the file is 12 bytes too big, then it's 12 bytes too big. :P  You have to make it smaller.

now they are uploaded, finmd them in the gallery, right click them, get the url to the image and paste that in one of the three my kit fields

Half way there, not the webaddress but picture URL, eg:

http://www.drum-world.com/uploads/IMG_0124.jpg

Go to the page where ur picture is, right click it and copy the url
