Nice to be back ;)

How I have been is a detailed question. Since last I posted (and for the life of me I can't remember why I stopped) many things have passed.

I am now back in Wales, but still working for the steel industry (managing IT and software now). Nice to be home :D Getting a promotion to make it happen was good ;)

The move home was prompted by my getting run over on my bike. Cycling to work, white van didn't see me and that is me in plaster for 4 months and 18 months later I am still having physio on my leg. Must have gone a year without touching my kit.

In terms of drums, I am moving backwards. A year off, and a right leg that I struggle to walk any distance on have taken their toll. When I sit behind my practice kit, it is all feeling stiff. I stood in for my old band a few months back, but had to give it up - I didn't even have the stamina to last a set.

But, physio is working. I need to get back on the pony and start practicing. Building it back into my life will be the challenge.

But, enough moaning eh? How is everyone else? :D

Oh, forgot to mention that me and Clare are still together and she is living the high life with me in Wales.

I recovered from a motorcycle accident to play again and then two strokes.

It's great to hear you are making progress.

I consider playing physical therapy for whatever that is work. All in all, it sounds like you attitude is good and that things are going well.

Tell Clare "hi" as well.

Let's see, news here? I'm not a newbie anymore...

Pleased

When I logged in, I expected to have fallen way behind, but my awards and posts are still fairly respectable. I gave up on catching Rich years ago

With the leg, physically it went smoothly. Mentally, being stuck 300 miles from the majority of my friends and family really bit. So I moved "home" to try and ship over the depression. All in all it feels like the right move.

Now, I just need to catch ho. Be a n00b again.

Aside from the repeated stroke bit, sounds like life is on the up for you matey. It is nice when you find a path that you want to be on, and you can never have too much drum stuff (I'm currently using a bass drum as a side table as we haven't enough room to store them all Devilish).

The only downside I can see is having to watch the Pens Devilish (just envy talking)
