I have a horrible Sunlite throne. For some reason I've never upgraded that. So I really need two new thrones, one for Jackie's home and one for mine.

Maybe I should buy two different ones and test them out purely for scientific purposes.

I do really like the Roc-N-Soc Nitro. They are the first company that came out with a seious throne.

I also have a biker style throne, but can't use a backrest do to space concerns. Pork Pie does make some some good looking seats.

I have the cheapest $89 Pearl throne that I could find. It has a metal base and a round seat.

It's never bothered me.

I found the round seats cut into my legs... I got the bicycle kind and they work so much better. The down side is the rocknsoc seat is huge and does not fit in my trap case. I just use a large gym bag to haul my kick pedal, throne, stick bag and other misc stuff in.

My dad has a Rock n' Soc style throne (I think it's a Tama) and I can't stand it. I sit very very forward on my round one. It's maybe 25cm in diameter and I bet I sit on only half at any time.

When I use the big throne, it always feels like my legs are hitting the seat, which bothers me.

Keep in mind I'm not a particularly huge guy. The seat might be totally comfortable but just way too big.

I have the Tama HT730and I got the backrest for it too!
One thing I like about it is the swivel sleeve, a plastic piece that keeps the seat top on but lets move. I'll play for 6 hours and my ass feels great!

My friend has a porkpie and that is a great seat too, very comfortable. You just sink into it, and they look good.

There's one more that I've seen that looks good and you can just buy the top and have it custom made. That's from Ford Drums, they make some great solid shell drum set too.

I think that these three are the best, but I haven't used a Rock n' Soc, but they don't look like they have a lot of cushion.

I bought the three DW 9700 stands I needed. (I bought one one from our new guy Jessie, as that's what his store had in stock.)

I haven't done anything about the throne for now.
