Me? I'm a sucker for pre-serial Paiste 602s. A "new to me" 18" crash was waiting patiently on my doorstep when I got home from teaching lessons today. Life is good.

I had the Yamaha rep in my store today telling me about the new reissue 602s. Can't want to hear them.

I've tried a couple of the new 602s in local stores. The ones I've played are damn nice - especially the crashes.

I've played on a few over the years James. They really do have their own voice, which is great. One of these days I need to buy one or two 602s.

I don't know the "Ludwig Standard" line well enough to comment on their quality or market value. From what I've read, those in the know tend to differentiate between 602s and those of the "Ludwig" variety. How that applies to the cymbal linked above, I don't know - but that price range can usually get you a non-"Ludwig" 602 ride, and will get you in the door for one of the new 602 reissues, although the new 602s only come in a few different models as of yet.
