Anybody else a singing drummer?

Do you sing harmony/backup?

Any drummers who are also the lead singer?

What do you do during a gig, to keep your throat in shape for singing?

Bass player joke:
Q "What's worse than a singing drummer?
A "Nothing!"

Is this another old thread? I don't want to revive the dead...

I sing... mostly backup but will be doing a few leads in my new project. And I don't do anything special for my voice to warm it up.. A few scales and then I drink water for the night.

I sing a lot of backup harmony and a little lead. I don't really warm up the voice much. I used to be in a band that I sang mostly lead stuff, and then I would warm up by singing scales over the entire range of my voice while driving to the gig. Then during the gig, I'd drink hot tea to keep "loose."

I sing about 6 or 7 tunes lead and the rest in the harmony arena... I don't drink beer while I play, it dries out the vocal. Just a little room temp water and lime... works fine for me.
