| I prefer Sabian myself, I think they have the most widest range cymbal types and models-some of them look pretty interesting, like the kind that have the unfinished bell and the rest of it is lathed.
I use Sabian Pro Sonic and AA's-LOVE em!

| | Most of my drumming life has been with Zildjian's, but after re-starting my drumming I've choosen Sabian's B-8's. I can't believe how good they sound and the price I paid for them ! 2 for the price of 1 with Sabian. I like 'em !!

| | Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe XS20's are sheet bronze, like B8's, only they use B20 bronze instead of B8. Personally, I like the B8 Pro and Pro Sonix series better. The B8 Pro heavy crash is really cool. | | Message posted 1740 days ago | IP Logged |

| I use Sabian Pro Sonix - just 'cos of the price / performance balance. I prefer then to B8's (although my last hats were B8's and we're good). I used to have a fabulous set of Meinl's years ago - wish I hadn't sold them. The crash was only OK but the 20" ride was the BEST I've ever heard. Clear, sharp 'ting' when tapped and a rich resonant sound when hit harder. Lovely. I couldn't afford a new Meinl these days. Anyone else used Meinl at all?
What would you people recommend for a cheap 8" or 10" splash and what China's get you all excited? I've a bit of money (£100 or so) coming up and want to add an effects cymbal to my set - I have a crappy no-brand 8" spash at the moment, ProSonic 14" hats, 16" crash and 20" ride. I play every kind of music apart from country/western (boring) and thrash metal (too fast & difficult!!). Phil 'CrazyDrummer' Tyler | | Message posted 1739 days ago | IP Logged |

| | If you want a reasonably priced China, I would look into getting a Wuhan-I paid only $60 CAD for my 16 inch, and I love it. Take note, though, it is a very trashy sounding cymbal-not for the faint of heart-LOL. | | Message posted 1726 days ago | IP Logged |
