The AAX dark crash is the darkest cymbal in that line. The HHX x-plosion crash is the brightest cymbal in the HHX family.

I have an 18" of each set up side by side and they are very similar sonicly.

Interesting.

I already have a 15" AAX Studio crash, I just meant I love it to bits. It would probably cost me about 65% of the price here to buy it from Katie - we get absolutely rorted on cymbals here Luke F#*H YEAH

I have to be good till I finish building the house etc. Getting the rest of the driveway concreted in about 3 weeks, its about 73m2 they have to do. After that I have a grage and carport to buid (doing myself) but its about $3500 of materials Luke F#*H YEAH

Hey Phil,

I have a question for you. The Sabian HHX X-plosion crash I bought used (traditional finish) doesn't have the heavy hammering of the new ones I see on ebay. Do you know if they reworked that series?
