The UPS man was just here...

My Sabian HHX Evolution Hihats have arrived! Woo-Hoo!

I already left feedback, thanks again Katie.

I'm headed to the attic to try them out.

Yay! Hope you like em!

If we hadn't been shipping a ton of stuff and running around like chickens with our heads cut off, I would have written you a note or something. ^_~

I played them for about ten minutes and my first impressions are good.

They have a lot of that "vintage vibe" to them, sort of like my 13" "K" hats. They sound great with a light touch, but can really speak loud when you lay into them. They really speak out on hi-hat barks.

The "chick" sound is a little softer than I expected, but that is more of an observation than a complaint.

All in all it's a good addition to my arsenal.

Cool. All I really know is that they're a model we can never seem to keep on the wall. It seems like every time we get some in and remember to put up a listing for them, they sell right away.

Its weird how some models fly out of here and some we practically can't give away. Like those pitch black sets that no one wanted a few months ago, now we have people fighting each other over our last few cymbals. So strange...

If they're new Mike they will change a little but I'm guessing that they will sound better as you break them in. Still a little tight. it's the brilliant finish.Cool Dude

You have made a Sabian believer out of me Phil.

I didn't pay much attention to them until you pushed me in that direction.

I'm not giving up on Zildjian or Paiste yet though. (The joys of disposible income.)

It's good to have as many choices Mike and you can see that Sabians don't sound like Zildjians. But they really are the true Zildjian if you ask me.

They definitely have their own sound.

Every time I dive into a new line it's to get sounds I don't yet have. The Sabians are giving me that. Of course my Paiste Signatures sound like nothing else as well.

That's why I didn't compare them but a lot of people think that Sabians would sond a lot like Zildjian but they don't, they don't play the same either, those Evolutions are supposed to play very easy, like they play themselves.Pleased
