Or...

FWIW...I've got two Diril rides, and I've played a few other Dirils, and from what I've seen and heard I think they stack up favorably with anything else being produced today.

I figure I'm about 4 AAX crashes from anything else. I still want Constantinoples and K Customs.

Right now in Sabian AAX I have the 18" China, 10" splash, 20" Studio ride, 13" Fusion hats, and 15" Studio crash. My total outlay so far is about $300. I'm doing this in a fairly frugal way. I've seen other good cymbal deals come up, but I'm concentrating on one line at a time.

I put watches on any cheap Dark crashes and studio crashes that come up on ebay and see what I can get them for. I might throw an Axxplosion and or Ozone crash in the mix as well.

We'll see.

I just picked up a clean used Sabian AAX 19" Studio crash on ebay for $114. (plus $22 shipping, still not a bad deal...)

I think I'm going to grab an "18 AAX Dark crash from Greenbrier. They have a coupon online that if you buy a Sabian 16" or larger AAX or HHX cymbal you get a mail in coupon for a free 15" AAX Xplossion crash.

Two nice crashes for $200 is not a bad deal my friends.

That would almost finish my AAX setup.

(I'm thinking of throwing an 18" AAX Ozone into the mix eventually to make this a really different setup from my others.)

Cool Dude

Phil should be proud!

I ordered the 18" Dark crash and I'm going to send the free 15" AAX Xplosion coupon to Sabian.

So, that is three crashes in one day.

So my Sabian AAX setup is...

20" Studio ride

13" Fusion Hi-hats

19" Studio crash

18" Dark crash

18" China

16" Xplosion crash

15" Studio crash

10" splash

Yes I am proud of you Mike!

I think you'll love the AAX 18" Dark Crash they're really nice cymbals.

One O - Zone that is nice is the APX 18" O - Zone Crash this one is so different from the others, It's higher pitched and cuts more than the HHX or AAX. I think it's the best in the APX line.

I have the HHX 20" O - Zone that's a great cymbal I just love it!

Mike you should try the Evolutions, they play real nice, just open up so well, really easy to play. One more in there is the 14" HHX Evolutiom Mini-China but the Hats and Ride are just sweet.Pleased

I'm not done with the AAXs. I want to add an Ozone and a couple of other crashes.

Thanks for all of your help and advice Phil. I do appreciate it.
