WOW. that one drum was set at 8-9 grand. WOW that is outrageous could never see myself getting one of those. btw Do any of you guys collect old drums that you don't play just store in shelfs and stuff?

All of my kits, snares, cymbals, etc are to play.

That's why I'm not goofy about only buying museum quality instruments.

I'm collecting different kits because they will have different sounds.

And stamps aren't as cool. lol.

What makes drums superior to other collectables is the fact they can be played with care. A special edition snare drum with a special printed head can be played,all you have to do is replace the original head.When it's time to sell you simply change it back.

It's not possible to play a guitar without some kind of wear. 9.5 quality is about as close as you can get imo.

yeah drums are one of the only collectables able to be played because they have multipile parts. and only one is taking the wear. DRUMS R COOL

Of course if you do take your 'collectable drum' on tour on to gigs it could still likely be damaged. If you take care of it though, and clean it regularly with a dry duster then you can stop pitting and the only part of the drum the will be different is the head. Pleased
