I saw this set on ebay for US $800 "buy it now" while the same ones range from 3-4.5 grand. I emailed the guy and said its brand new and hed pay shipping. anyone played on these Roland TD20s? what do u think of em?

I've been playing a TD-20 kit with mesh heads for a little while in the studio. It's not the worst edrum kit, 4 sure.

-BUT-

There is what seems to be a bandwidth problem with the new "ultra-realistic" high hat trigger system. It works ok for a little while, but then you notice there are these little delays between when your stick hits it, and the sound that finally comes out.

The thing has latency, all digital devices do, but this is worse, it's like a buffer overrun. It chokes with too much information.

Haven't played much with other brands or brains. To my knowledge this is the first attempt at a functioning high hat in VR.

Anyone have a comment?
