I'll always keep the boxes and everything I get with it inside the box. That way, if something happens, I know where everything is. Pleased

I went without power in my house for 36 hours (putting ice cubes in the fridge) and after a wild goose chase around town, have my internet at least sort of working. But I still have no wireless so I'm attached to the wall by a three foot cable.

Yeah, I thought about doing that, but with my internet service I get a wireless modem/router for free with the service. I just had to go to the store and pick it up. But when I got there, they didn't have any so they gave me just a regular cable modem to use until they could get me the proper modem/router.

I might even have it today.

Both cable internet and DSL phone line internet are quite common here. I've always had DSL, but the cable internet company gave me a $30 rebate on the first bill, and $15 off each month for the first six months, so I thought I'd give it a shot.

There's also no contract, so I can cancel whenever I want. I figured I didn't have much to lose, especially since I don't have to buy the modem or router.

so recently down here, comcast has put monthly LIMITATIONS on how much internet you can use per month. if you go over, they shut you off. on top of that, they raised the price of their TV service.
They apparently have found out that people stop watching their TV service when they can get all the same stuff over the net for free.

where will it end? I fi was a comcast customer, i would have dropped them the day that happened.Angry

I've been having extreme problems with my sky connection and have been getting really slow internet connection speeds.

The only reason we are with sky broadband is because they said we would get broadband and phonecalls for £5 extra on top of the T.V package a month.

When I was trying to get the internet sorted, I stumbled onto the sky bill. As they said, they had been charging only and extra £5 for broadband and telephone calls. But what they failed to mention was the extra £25+ a month for telephone calls to mobiles.

My mums moving to O2 broadband at the weekend. Hopefully they will have a better connection and modem! Argh!

When I do a speedtest, (http://www.speedtest.net/), I'm getting 600kb/s download and 286kb/s upload! Argh!Argh!Argh!
