So the weather here is amazing but kind of makes me laugh.

There is lots of snow on the ground still, maybe 3-4 feet in some places. But it's sunny and very warm, up to 9 degrees yesterday (50 Fahrenheit) which feels pretty warm after -18 last week.

Anyway I was outside all afternoon playing road hockey, shorts and T-shirt because I was sweating and it felt SO hot.

I wish I had a camera cause it was really funny seeing a bunch of guys outside surrounded by 4 feet of snow in shorts and short sleeves playing hockey with a tennis ball.

Can you say '"CAR!"?

I walked Bridget this morning without wearing a jacket. (or a hat on my bald head...)

I was out in shorts and sandals today.

It's gonna be 14 tomorrow! That's practically beach weather in Canada! Devilish

(The sad part is that I'm only partly kidding).

Okay... so we are having a sponsored masterclass/clinic at the university tomorrow. A kit player named Ted Warren is coming in to do a jazz workshop with us percussion guys (and gals).

I knew he was a Zildjian artist, but today I was in one of the percussion studios practicing and there's a knock on the door.

UPS comes in and delivers a box about 24" across/wide and 10" tall that must weigh 80 pounds. It's got a big sticker that says 'Zildjian clinic package' on it.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to leave a giant cymbal-shaped box with a Zildjian sticker unopened on the floor of the room you're in all day, all day!?

It's driving me crazy!

They also told us that since he's a Zildjian artist he likely comes bearing swag. I assumed they meant T-shirts, but maybe I'll get lucky.

Good luck!

I always thought "getting lucky" meant something other than drums. Devilish

Last week my wife and I were in Austin Texas visiting her mom and son. It was in the upper60's a cople days and low 80's on Monday and Tuesday.. We got in 4 rounds of golf and it was a great time... When we got back to Minnesota on Wednesday it was like magic most of the snow here is gone.

Ahh the return of spring!

It's amazing how fast fast the seasons change.

Winter seemed like it lasted forever this year and poof, it's gone.
