| I think it's even stranger that there are moon gels on PINSTRIPES. | |

My Toms are set up like that because you can play the toms faster, really fast fills. If my toms are numbered 1,2,3,4 in size (they are lined up 1,3,2,4) , all i have to do is hit #2 (right stick), #3 (left stick), #4 (right stick). When i hit number tom #2, my right hand is going to be free to hit the floor tom immediately after i hit #3 with my left hand. Yes i know it's quiet confusing, just read this agian, maybe you'll understand
And for the moon gels on pinstripes.. why not? it gives it a better tone to me and helps eliminates over tones in a small room that i play in. NEBDrums38088.1395949074 | | Message posted 2963 days ago | IP Logged |

| Yeah - whatever works for you. Tommy Aldridge played with his ride on the left hand side. Some guys couldnt lead with their right hand so they crossed their arms during fills. And if I'm not mistaken, didnt Jimi play left handed but string the guitar as if it were right handed??

But Pinstripes are designed to eliminate over tones. By the way, your tom set up makes perfect sense. I have been considering switching my 10" and 12" (I have a 10, 12, and 14 inch power tom setup) just for that very reason.

| Glad you understand
And no it doesn't limit me to only really fast fills, you learn to play the toms differnetly after you change them. I recommend you guy to just try it, it might work for you and it might not. NEBDrums38088.501875 | | Message posted 2963 days ago | IP Logged |
