Not really drum related, but I just saw that Ray Charles died today.  One by one the great ones leave us.

Rest In Peace Ray!

Ray Charles - "Georgia On My Mind" was playing on the radio when my first son was born. So I have a soft place in my heart for Ray.

We in Georgia will miss him...  But so will the rest of the world.  You know most of the greats are in that age group and we will be losing a lot of them over the next few years...  To bad that there are no great musicians to replace them with.

I agree Steve.  You look at the greats who have died over the last few years, it is sad to think soon they will all be gone.  I regret never having seen Ray Charles in person.

Ray Charles has never seen Ray Charles in person, either. BA DUMP BUMP, PSSHHH!

Ok, I know, that was in extremely bad taste, but Mr. Charles had a good sense of humor about things like that, and I mean no disrespect.

I agree he and Stevie both have great attitudes about being blind...  So none taken...
