That's Ghost Notes and Dynamics Positioning. A must for all of us! After all, we only really have rhythm and dynamics available to us on the drumset (Unless we’re Terry Bozzio). I put together a quick tutorial on playing ghost notes versus accents effectively!
To stay true to my usual content, the example is in quintuplets… Don’t worry, it’s super slow, I just used the quintuplets to force leading with both hands as it switches every quarter note.

And of course Polyrhythms Part 3 : This time around we’re going to take a look at two over five and two over seven. Conceptually, they’re really simple polyrhythms with their most basic form being eighth notes. Instead of just discarding them as useless, this video lesson explores them in much more detail, applying them as note placement possibilities within odd time grooves and fills! When you’ve gone through this in detail you’ll be comfortable applying these rhythms as note placement parameters in anything you want!
Finally, I have a video blog I launched last night at : www.AaronEdgarDrum.com
