You should check him out with Bill Evans and Scott LaFaro. Sunday at the Vanguard is a classic trio album. Beyond communications, more like clairvoyance.

In the 70's with Keith Jarrett. Also monumental work.

Sad.

And the same day Mr. Motian left us, master Italian cymbalsmith Roberto Spizzichino died. It was a very sad day indeed.
