Another fallen giant. I wonder how many heard him. If you haven't You should check him out with Bill Evans and Scott LaFaro. Sunday at the Vanguard is a classic trio album. Beyond communications, more like clairvoyance. In the 70's with Keith Jarrett. Also monumental work. Sad. Gene

And the same day Mr. Motian left us, master Italian cymbalsmith Roberto Spizzichino died. It was a very sad day indeed. "I played with Holdsworth, Fripp, and Belew...I wish we drummers could play that differently.
