I am a lucky mother fucker! But you guys knew that.

A few months back I had to meet my new band, we talked and I was in. Then since I was feeling good for the first time in weeks I thought I'd go see some friends play. Well I was walking up to the club and this black guy in a red fir coat, sunglasses and a fir hat gets out of a car right in front of me and is coughing like hell. So I said "hey man you okay?" He said he was so I asked him where he was from. He said "I'm the Poo Poo Man, I sing with P-Funk" and I said "hey I'm going to see you guys tomorrow" then we just started talking as we walked into the club. I've played this club many times and all know me there so I helped them get seats and helped them order drinks. There was a couple roadies two singers and one drummer from P-Funk. So we sat, drank, and talked for hours. Then when we were leaving they said "hey your all right come tomorrow and be our guest" So the next day I went to the club they were playing at 4:00pm. That was lucky too as the drummer was just coming out to put names on the list, he grab me and took me back stage. I met everyone in the band and just hung back stage with them till the show, then we sat around for a few hours after talking and drinking beer.

What a show and what a great band! I watched the show from backstage. It was like 3 and a half hours long. The closest I got to George Clinton was a few inches. It was when he was coming out on stage, he had to walk pass me. He stopped right next to me to wait for his intro and I could say nothing, he was standind right next to me! I guess I was in aw. If you get the chance to see P-Funk go, you will not regret it.

And I'm a lucky mother fucker!

Is Bootsy Collins playing bass with them any more. Seeing him alone is worth the price of admission (even if you actually have to pay).

I wish he was! No they had some young guy on bass, but he was great! The whole band was great! The only thing is George is getting old and doesn't do much, he comes out then goes and rest. The band played for about 20 mins before he even comes out.

Everybody in this band is top notch.
