The dogs got their last run in the yard. We are dropping them at the dog resort. They are going to be there for a week as we'll pick them up after the closing next Friday.

I'll be packing the DWs up on Sunday.

I'll check in when I can and I'll see Gene tomorrow.

I'm back from New York, tired and happy. We had a great time.

On Friday night after dinner Jackie and had time to kill so we found Steve Maxwell's drum shop and it was like being a kid in a candy store. wow.

We went to the show which I'll review elsewhere.

Saturday morning we met Gene. (He told his son that he was going into the city to meet a homeless person he met on the internet. lol)

Gene is exactly as witty, sharp and nice in person as he comes across here. He took us to lunch at a deli, since we are homeless. (Thanks Gene!)

The Deli just happened to be around the corner from Steve Maxwell's drumshop, so we went there together.

Gene got to play (and fall in love with) a set of Craviotto solid shells. (The ride was a vintage "K" with a couple of rivets.)

Gene got to blow Jackie and I away with his chops. He is quite humble about it, but the man can play. Meeting Gene and talking about music and whatever in person was the highlight of the trip for Jackie and myself.

Thank you Gene.

Of course I'm kicking myself for not pulling out the camera while we at the drum shop.

If this band was a person, it would be president. If this band was visual art, it would be the main attraction at Louvre. If this band was a book, it would be holier than the bible.

As usual, Mike is busy finding the best in others and taking himself for granted.

It was a great day with great people and a I look forward to spending time with them again.

And the Craviotto were solid shell walnut with wood hoops and absolutely defy description. I dreamt about them last night.

Take the trip. The drums will come when the time is right if you really want them.

I on the other hand, am still not homeless, not going on an RV trip, and rapidly weakening!
