yeah, what the hell is a crumpet?!
It is like a light batter that is cooked like a pancake but allowed to rise.

This is then toasted further, buttered and served with jam! I love 'em.

They are also good as the basis of quick snack pizza.

Crumpets rule the world. The word crumpet is ambiguous, it can be used for many things including:

- Describing a food which is small and flat and round, crispy and golden best served with butter spread over the top
- Insulting your fellow friends, in a friendly way "You sire, are a crumpet!"

My.. great, great, great, great, great grandfather was from Scotland. Seriously. McCloud clan. Yep! That's not my last name.. but it's there in me blood. That's my mom's research on my grade 2 project at work for yeh.

Oh no you di'in't! POUTINE!! Go to Quebec, you fool! They'll shove it down your sorry throat!! It's fries (chips for you UKians out there) coated in gravy with moza cheese melted on top. You.. uncivilized hobo.

And when I said 'beaver tails', I meant that as another Canadian delicacey. Pastry deep fried and topped with whatever you want. It's in the shape of a beaver tail, thus the name. My favorite is with cinnamon, brown sugar, and lemon juice. Bah.

I really need to stop posting paragraphs constantly..

LOL

And Tom missed out another use of crumpet:

-Man, that is a hot bit of crumpet.

Describing a member of the female sex as sexually desirable!

I love these multiple use words!
