Hello everyone my name is George from Wantagh L.I. I have been playing non-stop for over 30yrs.I play in two bands The Big Picture & Bloodbrother.I'm a family man my son Mike now 8yrs old takes lesson's at the L.I.D.C.He is also takeing lesson from his school more marching band studies.I'm old school Tama,Remo & Zildjian.I ask questions alot because there is so many new cymbals,heads etc it makes my head spin Ha!Ha!.I remember when there was only a light,medium&heavy(rock)crash now so many different models and companies.I have Tama SCP kit 10,12,13,14,16 & 22 kick all birch.I don't use the whole kit at every gig somtimes I scale down.Lately I been intrested in new heads Aquarian,Attack Ihear good and bad about both maybe should stick with Remo's.Anyway thanks for welcoming me into this wonderful world that we all LOVE Drum World.Smile

Hi George, Welcome to the site.I'm Mike in Pittsburgh.

The Tamas sound like a nice set, and I think it's great that your son plays as well.

I've heard a lot of good about Long Island Drum Center. I was at the shop once a long time ago.

The group on here range in age from teens to sixties and well have tons of opinions, we even agree about a lot.

You'll fing some serious drum-gear junkies on here. Dive in!

George - In my earlier post, I neglected to introduce myself. I think I'm the old guy here at 61, but I'm not that experienced. I've played just a few years when I was young, and about 3 1/2 years recently. I live in Illinois and play a Pearl
Reference Series kit in a Crystal Rain finish - 10,12,14,16,22.
