| Lee... He told the news (In Isrial I belive) that GOD told him to invade Iraq... His religon tells him being gay is wrong so he wants to outlaw someones personal beliefs and not allow them the same rights the rest of us have and that sounds a lot like why MY ansecetors left England.... Freedom from religious persecution. You need to look into Bush and his whole crowd... They are all trying to make everyone belive like them.... (sounds a lot like what they claim the Muslems are doing)... And don't get me started on taxes.... Dumb ass Bush cut taxes and then goes and spends money on a WAR... Where is the money gonna come from? I read a lot about this Bush and the group of people he hangs with that wants to have Jeb Bush as president one day. The WHOLE thing is scary and well hidden...
Kerry may care more about making sure other Americans are taken care of and saving the environment from big business destroying it for profit. While Bush spends that money overseas on WAR and lets his business friends make more money raping and pilaging the environment.. And at a minimum thats why I would take Kerry any day over Bush...
But like assholes everyones got one.... So this is just mine...

| Exactly right, Andrew. Bush is protecting marriage in it's traditional meanings (man and woman, and eventual offspring). Many, many democrats agree with Bush on that.
Yes, Bush said God told him to go to war, but that's a far cry from being a religious zealot, especially considering Bush's weak communication skills. You surely don't believe that Bush meant that God actually "spoke" in audible English to him, telling him to go to war...I mean, come on! Hell, if I was president, and I was faced with the decision to send American soldiers to war, I'D PRAY TOO!!!!
Surely you have to agree that this country has been in moral decline for a while now. Something like 70% of all marriages end in divorce as it is, and now comes the push to BASTARDIZE marriage even further by allowing gays to marry?????
As far as taxes, why the hell would you want to give more and more of your hard-earned money to the government?????? That just blows my mind. The United States of America is a REPUBLIC!!!! The smaller the government is, THE BETTER IT FUNCTIONS. Do you want this to be a country where the government provides everthing you need to survive? Is that "the American dream?"
I don't want my tax money going to support some lazy f**king bastard that doesn't want to work and only wants to lay around getting high and eating free meals provided by Uncle Sam. I want to work hard and be rewarded for it. I want the American dream, not some socialistic John Kerry society.

| Lee.... Yes Bush belives God talks to him... On a regular basis and in english... He has said as much... And I want my president to have communication skills that would not cause him to put his foot in his mouth and look DUMB to the rest of the world. The Bush crowd thinks it's above the law look real closely and you will see what I mean. I mean hell they ripped of elderly people in the savings and loan scandals we should all read more about that from a non-political point of view to see it's full extent.
I'm divoriced. Partly because the larger extended family of my parents generation did not continue thru my generation. Meaning that people are not taught how to live with others, or to respect others and what the meaning of marriage is. The moral decline of the institution of marriage has nothing to do with gays... The reason gays want to be married is for the LEGAL protection of their rights. BTW I am not gay nor is any member of my immediate family. I have studied this because I am a firm beliver in independent freedoms and beliefs. Right now they have no co-habitation rights without jumping thru hoops and getting all the right paper work filed. Some of them can not afford that just like straight couples. Not fair and I'm all about being fair....
Now about taxes. No I don't want to pay for lazy people. But I do want my roads taken care of, the environment taken care of, help when I'm down and out due to no fault of my own (I know 5 people looking for work for 1 year plus), a decent military, maybe a good space program, polution reduced and affordable healthcare. Where do you think this money comes from? This is tax money... Now when you throw the war into the picture (which is not in the budget) we are behind the 8 ball since Bush is giving money back. Now there are other programs that have been around for YEARS that were not started in the last 20 years that the democrats are attempting to save and the republicans are trying to get rid of. The republican govenment has always given tax cuts to sucker those people in who only care about that to vote for them in the election. But every time they do the tax cut thing they spend more money on themselves (pay raises), military (paying big businesses to develop high tech gear not on the personel) and now a goddamn war.... and evertime the debt goes up... Why don't Bush, the Republicans and lower the tax supporters ever talk about the trillions of dollars we owe? It's so stupid even a dumb ass should know we need to pay off our debts.... So a smart person or government would say don't give taxs back until we pay our debt off....
Now honestly think about when the last time our taxes were raised? Talk to the UK guys about how much tax they pay and consider us lucky....
Our government should be about making it fair for EVERYONE not for just the people who have a drive and desire to be the best (or look like the best). There are people out there who are different and can not keep up. So what would you do with them? Let them starve? | I'm for SMALLER government, not no government at all. Of course we need the basic services like all the ones you mentioned and we need protections for people who can't make it on their own. I'm not that cold-hearted, Steve.
Gays need legal protection, yes. But it needs to be defined differently like "civil union" or something. And since you're so well read, you should know that the big majority of the American population want the definition of "marriage" left alone. This can easily be done, but the gay agenda wants their way of life shoved in our face 24/7.
Yes, we ARE lucky when comparing our tax burden to other countries THANKS TO REPUBLICANS keeping spend-crazy liberals in check!
Your perception of Bush is right in line with the left wing propaganda. I don't see him that way. I think he's a good, honest guy who just "can't talk too good"  . But in my heart, I feel that if I was getting shot at, and I was alone with either Bush or Kerry, I believe Bush would stand in front and take the bullet for me. I really, truly believe Kerry would use me as a shield. I simply do not trust Kerry.
Steve, you probably don't read anything negative about Kerry, do you? It's because apparently, you're getting all you information from left-leaning sources that support your opinions and beliefs.
