New kit on the way

As some of you guys read and know, I sold my Ddrum kit to Mrhappycow last week in order to pave the way for a new Ludwig Classic Maple 4 piece. The wrap I chose is White Marine Pearl. (I always fancied that wrap since I was a kid). Virgin 16x22 kick, 8x10 and 9x12 high toms with a 16x16 floor. I got a smokin deal on it thanks to my best buddy Mike (drummer5359). He called up one of his favorite music stores and set the ball in motion for me. Isnt he great! They gave me a ballpark 2 month waiting period for it, but thats okay. I'm still playing my Gretsch's. I done a bit of research before I chose the Ludwig's and found that within the price range that I had, it was the best bang for the buck. I'll be heading over to Mike's house somtime this weekend to check out his DW's and the rest of his museum of stuff to bang on.
Life is good!

Does anyone else think it is amusing that Dennis picked a finish with the word "Marine" in the title?

Welcome back to the forum Dennis.

Dennis - Sounds great! We'll all be on pins and needles with you! Enjoy Mike's percussive emporium.

I haven't gotten a new kit in ages. It's been almost four months!

Devilish

I'd really like to set up a second kit for when Dennis comes over, but lugging it around the house from the garage and up three floors is a lot of work for a temporary setup. When I'm finally set up in the basement/music room it will be much easier.

Sounds like a sweet kit..

I remember when I got my Rogers new... I went to the drum shop armed with cash and was heartbroken when they said they had to order it and it would be 6 - 8 weeks.

But it was worth the waitPleasedCool Dude

Ron and Billy, you've both owned your kits a few years as I recall. Wasn't Jimmy Carter in office when you two bought your kits?

I'm thinking this is going to be the "forever kit" for Dennis.
