I will admit that subscribe is useful on some of the other forums I post on - like on some software support forums. But most of the stuff that goes on here is more fast moving

Yeah active topics is the best page, that's the one I'm always using.

I have never use it...I find that it doesn't show all the topics (think it is due to the way I use the site).

Admittedly the subscribe idea is of limited use - but for infrequent visitors (like those selling stuff) the ability to get e-mailed when replies are posted in a key thread (like their advert) would be useful.

You could write it so that they get e-mailed once, when the first reply is posted since they last logged in!

how about your "subscribers" deleting themselves after a month or two of no activity. we have what, 1000 members? everytime i look, it looks like at least half are just people trying to sell stuff, and they only have like 2 posts. it would save space!

like Mr edjucated 2000 year percussion teaching drummer from texas that "wasn't afraid to come back" and preach about his hippyfest drum circle.

I musta missed him...  How about the guy trying to change the way we read music?

BTW don't throw down on the drum circles...  When your the only real drummer there and jam your ass off and the cute little half naked druged out hippie chicks love sex...  Even an old hippie like me..
