Usually sites like Musicians Friend or Sam Ash have some for sale, but for some reason they don't seem to be instock at the moment. I'll check back.

well, how does it sound. RC vs. SC, what's the diff, generally speaking?

Actually, I think the RC drums as kicks are tight and punchy, but not as deep and resonant due to the long lug design.

The RC are really nice, and have a great rock punch. Yamaha claims they are "the most recorded drums in history" and I'd beleive it!

ok, that's weird. I was told by a salesman at Drummer's World just a few days ago the long lugs are out of production "for many years"

So the record custom still has the one piece long lugs after all? Yamaha has the worst site, I can't even see the toms up close.

The reason I ask is I have a long lug rack tom that sounds great. But it is SC and the dude said forget about getting more like that.

But now you say without it is deeper and more resonant?? Hmm. Maybe I like deeper and more resonant.

I should go with the current SC then? If I get a new set, with two kicks, and 8 toms, that is. Oohh, that gave me a rush.
