More orchestra stuff, my apologies to those of you that don't like it. I'll try and track down some rock n' roll recordings but I don't have nearly as many.

I think everyone will recognize this one. It's a very famous tune from a very famous work, I'll give you that much. You'll have to forgive some of the pitch problems in the brass, as a local youth orchestra was sitting in with us. They're mostly covered in the strings but they stand out in the trumpets and horns a fair bit.

There are two movements. Here's the first of the two. I'm playing the snare drum solo. Yeah, there are some rough spots. It's freakin hard to play that many ruffs in a row when they're all PP and the sticks are about 3mm off the head and you're 75 feet from the conductor. But I'm mostly happy with it. BTW, the drum is a 14x6 Tempus carbon fibre snare, with coated Ambassador over Hazy 100.

The second of the two movements. More energetic, lots of fun in the strings. It would be pretty much impossible for you not to recognize this one. But can you name it? I'm playing timpani, and for anyone that's interested, the drums are REAL German-made Ringers, with hammered copper bowls. Evans Stratas, and I believe I'm playing with a set of aluminum Hinger Reds.

Wow, I'm just listening to this again, and what's up with the triangle in the second of the two movements! It's a YO player again, we worked with them for a week before playing this gig. She can't tell the difference between downbeats and offbeats like three times.
