tron i really like the songs, well written and not a hint of 'christian cliche' and some nice thoughts and ideas have been put into the recording. your playing is solid and i love the cymbals.

as for critique i would agree with steve i heard some off notes in their but nothing to make me wince.
for my ear the snare was cranked abit to high and came across a lacking in body, though it worked better in 'fall'
i gotta say though if you are serious about going for it then maybe you should think about getting a new vocalist. i dont wish to offend but his vocals are the weak link, off key most of the time and sounding 'thin'. sorry

love the art work, did you do it?

Steve, I knew the sort of answer you would give, and your experience and knowledge is a valuable asset here and I appreciate your input. The original file is .aiff some gai mac format if thats ok then I could stick it up for you to get.

The recordings were never going to be 100% perfect, there is only 3 of us and 2 of us are self taught and the band really was just for fun. We've got loads of songs and really just wanted them to be preserved as such. Believe me this is 100% better than what we started like. The vocalist is not the strongest, however live etc he is a great frontman and he has become stronger over the year, so we expect him to become stronger and stronger.

Rich, which song did you think the snare was too loud in? and the artwork was done by the vocalist/guitar.

Tron nice sounding drums...I liked Be There and Fall... I am not much for what I like to call "dark ballads"

I usualy perfer a slightly different style of music, with less guitar chording... but heck I am an old fart.

You comment about your singer being a good front man is important. If you plan to do live gigs a good front person is an asset. Personality and good crowd raport will go a long way to overcome vocal short comings.

my dark ballad comment was aimed at Say Goodbye

and I am not talking about lyrics, but the overall tone of the song. But again that is just me
