Just got in a whole truckload of used/display model Meinl cymbals, including some discontinued stuff.

We ended up with a handful of Amun cymbals which I know are discontinued and apparently on the more sought after side for Meinl.

Any Meinl players out there with opinions about the Amun series? We'll probably list them tomorrow on ebay as auctions, unless someone here is interested. Devilish

I have to confess that your knowledge of Meinl cymbals is greater than mine.

The Amun are the gems in the Menial range.

For the money they sound great. Never bought one, but last time I was looking they sat best with my 50s and 60s Zildjians.

Ah Mike...the blind leading the blind. ^_^

Thanks for the opinion on that Gareth! I don't think even the boss man has played Amun before or knows much about them. He said something about playing them a bit today to see what they sound like before we list them.

I know of their reputation, but I've never played them.

A lot of people consider them very similar to Paiste, which I love.

I sent Steven a note on Facebook.
