Well the biggest, and unlikeliest, re-union bar The Beatles has finally happened! I never thought I'd live to see the day, or as I'm only 40 and they're all late 50's to early 60's, I didn't think they'd live to see the day.

At £125 a ticket, a maximum of two per person and a crappy pipex web-server that crashed within about 2 minutes of the official announcement being the only method of pre-registering for a ticket allocation they sure ain't makin' it easy to get to see the most anticipated show this millennium so far.

I've spend the last 30 hours trying on and off to get http://www.ahmettribute.com/main.php?show=prereg to work and at 3 minites past midnight I finally got it to not only display the registration form but actually to move on to the next page after clicking SUBMIT. No confirmation email as yet (maybe they're not sending them) but I should know by 1st Oct if I'm one of the lucky 18,000 out of 20,000,000 who've tried to get on.

The only thing to worry about now is whether Monday 26th November 2007 is going to be one of Jimmy's good days or bad days. Live-Aid was a bad day, his Glastonbury appearance with Robert Plant about 10 years ago was a shockingly bad day. The day I saw Page & Plant on the "No Quarter" tour in Sheffield wasn't a great day by any means (he seemed to have forgotten the riff for Whole Lotta Love) but the day I saw Page & Plant again for the "Walking Into Clarkesdale" gig at the Manchester Arena was a very good day. He kicked some ass that night on the guitar.

Wish me luck boys and girls....

(Any of you managed or even tried to register?)
